When does this statement apply?
This privacy notice applies when you visit our websites or have contact with our sales and promotions staff. By visiting our websites or having contact with our sales and promotions staff, you consent to us collecting and using personal data as described in this privacy statement.
What are personal data?
The General Data Protection Regulation defines a personal data as "any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more elements characterising the physical, physiological, genetic, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person."
Where this Privacy Policy refers to personal data, it refers to this definition from the Regulation.
In principle, no special categories of personal data are processed (unless e.g. the performance of the employment contract requires it). Processing of special categories of personal data means the processing of personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, and processing of genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a person, or data concerning health, or data relating to a person's sexual behaviour or sexual orientation.
What data do we collect?
We collect your data to perform our services, improve them and inform you about our activities, our promotions or products and services purchased by you. You provide some of this data directly to us, for example through forms on our website, with your business card, with your orders or in your e-mail traffic with us.
Either we obtain some of the data by recording how you interact with our products and services, or we obtain this data through cookies on our websites.
We distinguish different types of personal data. They allow us to present and offer our products and services:

2. Traffic data: we need this technical data to allow our electronic communication to run smoothly, such as your IP address;
3. Sensitive data: we do not process sensitive data.
Why do we collect this data?
We process personal data for various reasons, in each case processing only the data necessary to achieve our purpose. With your consent, to the extent required, we collect personal data for the following specific purposes:
1. To process your enquiries about our products and services.
When you visit our websites or have contact with our sales and promotional staff to collect or request information about our products and services or when you sign up for our newsletter, for example, we need your address details. 2. To offer you the best service.
We keep your data to improve our customer service. If we want to set up, maintain and support our products and services correctly, we need this data. This also allows us to contact you for the next step in our cooperation or to ask for feedback on our services. If there are technical problems or failures on our part, we need to be able to inform you of them.
3. To inform you about our products, services and activities.
We may use your data to inform you about existing and new products, services, special promotions, workshops, events and others, to engage in direct marketing or to build a profile about you so that we can inform you about things we think may be of interest to you. We may do this in writing, electronically or by telephone.
We also use your data for the newsletters you subscribe to. You will only receive communications by e-mail if you have given your explicit consent, as far as required.
We may also analyse your browsing and reading behaviour and create content for our websites or newsletters that suits your needs. We do this by recording your visits and the activities that take place on them. Think of viewing pages or clicking on links. We may disclose your personal data to our possible legal successors and affiliates, such as subsidiaries and sister companies, for the same purposes as stated in this privacy notice.
For some aspects of our products and services, we work with third parties or engage subcontractors. The transfer of your data is only for the same purposes as with MRS itself. We ensure that, like us, they manage your data securely and respectfully.
